About Montarado Guitars
The vision for Montarado Guitars was launched in 1990 when a boy from Montana married a girl from Colorado. The breathtaking natural beauty and ruggedness of both states provide limitless creative inspiration, most easily seen in the mountain design inlayed on each Montarado fretboard.
Kelley Meyer, the founder and luthier behind Montarado Guitars, is both an artistic craftsman and a gifted player. But most of all, he is grateful for the gifts he has been given, for the opportunity to daily pursue his passion, and for the friends who have encouraged and helped him all along the way.
The Montarado workshop is located north of Colorado Springs, Colorado where the peaceful surroundings, high elevation and dry climate is ideal for the construction of these fine, handcrafted instruments.
Montarado guitars have traveled around the world and endured varying conditions, while still maintaining their extraordinary beauty and sound. We hope you'll allow us the privilege of partnering with you on your musical journey!
